The Mitas TR-12 is designed as a power tyre for driving wheels, but its characteristics (carcass strength, tread depth, and resistance to deformation) allow it to be installed on trailer axles without losing resource. In agriculture, this means the possibility of unifying the fleet of tyres. The manufacturer allows operation on any type of soil — from clayey chernozem to sandy-gravel mixtures, as well as on asphalted areas, where manageability and braking distance are important.

Structural specification

The model has a classic radial cord, where steel threads are arranged perpendicular to the direction of movement. The architecture allows the sidewall to work on bending independently of the tread, which gives two key advantages: minimal heating during long crossings and even distribution of pressure. The wide profile further reduces the specific pressure on the soil. This is especially important for mounted equipment, where the center of gravity is shifted.

Sidewall design

Engineers paid special attention to the sidewalls. Their optimized shape with reinforced pads in the shoulder area minimizes the risk of cuts and punctures. And in the central part of the tread, the blocks partially overlap each other, forming a continuous composite rib. On a flat surface, it reduces the deformation of the tread. As a result, rolling resistance decreases, and fuel efficiency increases.
