Forklifts operate in harsh cyclic conditions: moving bulk cargo, maneuvering on ramps and solid concrete. For such machines, a tyre is not just a wheel, but a precise tool that determines performance and safety. The Mitas FL-03 model is designed as a solution that combines the features of industrial and quarry tyres. This allows it to be used on both solid surfaces and loose, unstable soils.

Tread geometry

At the base are ring elements with a pronounced Z-shaped configuration. When driving over an obstacle or under load, the blocks deform in a special way, forming a polygonal contact patch, stabilizing the vehicle. This provides two key advantages:

- pressure distribution — the load per square centimeter is reduced, which prevents local overheating and uneven wear;
- grip on any surface.

At the same time, the gripping edges guarantee the accuracy of steering control even during sharp turns with a full load.

Protection from abrasion and cuts

For the compound, a basic recipe with a high content of reinforcing fillers was chosen. But the main feature is the introduction of polymeric anti-abrasive modifiers. They increase the density of the rubber, making the surface resistant to wear. At the same time, plasticizers preserve elasticity at low temperatures, which is critical for operation outside heated premises. Additionally, adhesive resins have been introduced into the compound - they enhance the "grip" on a wet surface, reducing the risk of lateral skidding.

Resistance to damage

The model has an enhanced breaker layer with high-strength steel cord featuring a higher thread frequency than standard. The sidewall is supplemented with an additional layer of nylon cord, which absorbs lateral impacts and prevents diagonal tears when driving over rough road surfaces. This design allows for increased load-carrying capacity without the risk of frame destruction, and the safety margin enables tread restoration through retreading.
