The Michelin XSM D2+ Pro L5S tire is designed for mining equipment. It is distinguished by its increased load-carrying capacity, resistance to mechanical damage, and reliable traction properties on hard rocky surfaces.
The tire uses NRF technology, which increases its resistance to mechanical stress. This is achieved through two additional layers of nylon fibers integrated into the tread structure, which increases the strength of the tread against tears and stretching. As for the rubber compound itself, its composition was specially selected, taking into account the specifics of mining equipment operation. The compound is characterized by exceptional resistance to abrasive wear, prolonged thermal exposure, and the formation of cracks and tears. A significant part of the rubber compound's characteristics is preserved throughout almost the entire lifespan of the tire.
