Michelin XSM D2+ L5S 14x24

The special Michelin XSM D2+ L5S tire is designed for mine loaders. It is designed for prolonged use in extremely heavy conditions. It is distinguished by its exceptional strength and resistance to damage, improved traction and adhesion properties on wet rocky surfaces, and reduced heat generation.

The tire's tread is a layer of extremely strong compound with a thickness of 78 mm, without any tread pattern. The tread profile is practically flat, with significant rounding only at the edges. This maximally increases the contact patch, providing a very even distribution of pressure on the road surface. This solution improves traction, prevents uneven wear of the tire. Another important feature of the tire is the design of the carcass. It is a multi-layered "sandwich" in which both fully steel elements and synthetic materials are used. Part of the layers on the sidewalls are arranged in an overlap with certain gaps, providing them with some elasticity, minimizing the risk of damage. The final result of such designs is high load capacity, reliability, and smooth ride.
