The special Michelin XLD D2 A L5T tire is designed for use in quarries of mining enterprises. It is characterized by stable traction and coupling properties on medium-hard and hard soil surfaces, strength and durability in the most severe operating conditions.
The tread pattern is designed in an open design and consists of massive blocks with elongated curved walls. The slight inclination of the elements provides high traction properties when moving in both directions. The large width of the grooves between the blocks allows the tread to intensively self-clean, maintaining high passability even on waterlogged soil surfaces. The massiveness of the elements is not the least advantage of the pattern. This ensures a more even distribution of the load over the road surface, while reducing the pressure on it. This significantly increases the resistance of the tread to abrasive wear, increasing the mileage of the tire.
