The industrial tyre LingLong DM992 was created as a specialized solution for quarry dump trucks. It takes into account that such machines often experience peak loads, require precise maneuvering, and are forced to move on loose, unstable surfaces. As a result, a model was obtained in which the stiffness of the carcass is harmoniously combined with the elasticity of the tread module, and the shock-absorbing potential covers the most severe operating scenarios.
Carrying a reinforced sidewall
The constructive dominant of the model is a multi-layered carcass with additional reinforcement in the sidewall area. High-modulus cord threads are used here, laid with a variable pitch, which made it possible to create an elastic but unbending "skeleton". The sidewalls received local thickening from high-strength rubber. This is not just a protective layer, but an element that redistributes point pressure. Thanks to this, the tyre demonstrates exceptional resistance to punctures, cuts, and tears.
Shock-absorbing compound
The recipe for the rubber compound is developed based on a polymeric matrix with the addition of functional additives. This provides a double effect: on the one hand, the compound retains high elasticity, absorbing vibrations and reducing the impact load on the suspension. On the other hand, its abrasive resistance is significantly increased, which guarantees slow and predictable wear.
Anti-deformation geometry
The central place in the tread design is occupied by massive blocks. Each of them has a variable height and radius of rounding of the base, which prevents the "buckling" of the rubber and maintains a stable contact patch area on the ground.
