Leao LMS401 – a specialized tyre designed for articulated dump trucks and heavy loading equipment operating in the mining sector. The model embodies three key qualities: aggressive traction, rapid self-cleaning, and reliable carcass protection.
Massive blocks for grip
The tread pattern is based on large tread blocks that form a wide contact patch. Each element is designed to provide maximum support area when working with multi-bucket loaders and heavy loads. The central zone is formed by powerful lugs that ensure directional stability. The block structure guarantees that the tyre does not "float" on loose spoil and maintains its directional stability.
The side edges of the blocks have a beveled geometry that acts as active gripping edges. When moving on clay or rocky slopes, these edges "bite" into the surface, providing exceptional grip.
Self-cleaning
The grooves between the blocks are designed to expel dirt and debris outward due to centrifugal force when the wheel rotates. The drainage channels also serve to drain water and liquid mud, ensuring automatic cleaning even in the most severe conditions.
Structural protection
The model is created using the latest carcass materials, which significantly increase its "survivability". The reinforced breaker belt with high-strength steel cords provides resistance to punctures and cuts. And the multi-layer sidewall construction protects against diagonal tears and bulges. All this combined provides increased safety and reduces the risk of sudden failures, which in quarry conditions result in downtime.
Key features of Leao LMS401:
- specialized model for articulated dump trucks, front-end loaders, and other quarry equipment;
- developed traction edges provide exceptional grip on loose and rocky soils;
- optimized angle of inter-block grooves ensures rapid removal of dirt, clay, and water, preventing "clogging" of the tread;
- compound with increased resistance to abrasive wear and thermal stability extends the tread life.
