The Galaxy 101 SDS tyre is a strategic element of the chassis, designed to operate in 24/7 mode. Developed using proven diagonal technologies, this model combines what is usually considered incompatible: exceptional load-carrying capacity and shock-absorbing comfort, previously available only to pneumatic tyres.
Reducing vibration, preserving tread life
The main "problem" for forklift operators on solid surfaces is micro-vibration, which is transmitted to the steering and seat. This leads to rapid fatigue and reduced accuracy. Engineers solved this problem through an optimised volumetric design. A special medium-stiffness compound, combined with a massive base, acts as a dynamic damper. It filters out high-frequency shocks from concrete seam and joint irregularities. This technology extends the lifespan not only of the tyre itself but also of the suspension components in real-world conditions.
Three-layer architecture
The design is based on the principle of functional separation. This is a high-tech "sandwich":
- the outer layer is a wear-resistant rubber compound with increased resistance to abrasion and cuts. It is responsible for grip on dry and wet concrete floors, as well as resistance to abrasive effects;
- the intermediate elastic buffer plays the role of a shock-absorbing layer, absorbing peak impact loads;
- a rigid base that tightly fits the rim and prevents the tyre from spinning even under extreme torque.
