Evolution of the tread block
Engineers have applied an effective scheme for building the tread. Instead of the classic "herringbone" pattern, we see two powerful rows of massive, geometrically calibrated blocks. Their key feature is the elongated curved edges. This configuration allows for penetration when in contact with a loose surface, ensuring progressive movement without slipping. Thanks to the transverse orientation of the elements, the traction force remains stable, both when moving forward and when maneuvering in reverse.
Self-cleaning and protection from stones
We often underestimate the role of drainage channels, but in this model, they play a key role. The significant volume of inter-block voids solves two problems at once:
- stones and sharp rock fragments do not get stuck in the tread, but are thrown outwards by centrifugal force. This radically reduces the risk of puncture and delamination of the rubber;
- in viscous clay soils, the voids intensively evacuate the stuck dirt, maintaining a high level of "grip".
Add to this the ultra-deep profile – and you get a tyre that does not lose its "grip" after the first season, maintaining its off-road capabilities throughout its entire tread life.
Tread life issue
The design of the carcass deserves special attention. In mining operations, impact loads are inevitable. The optimized layered structure of the tyre carcass has high residual strength to rupture, which minimizes the likelihood of bulges and sidewall ruptures.
But the main commercial argument is the possibility of retreading the tread. The technological reserve allows for high-quality vulcanization of the tread, giving the tyre a second life and increasing its overall mileage.
