ATF 4483 – agricultural tire for trailer axles, where engineers focused on three things: minimal soil pressure, maximum cross-country ability on loose fields and "survivability" when in contact with sharp objects.
Agronomic calculation
The main technical "chip" of the model is the wavy longitudinal ribs of the tread. They are not straight, but have a sinusoidal geometry. Due to this, a voluminous and extended contact patch is created in the transverse plane. As a result, the contact area with the soil increases by 20-25% compared to tires with a classic pattern. This gives:
- minimal compaction of the fertile layer;
- the ability to enter the field immediately after rain without the risk of creating a rut;
- cross-country ability on loose soil and self-cleaning.
Wavy ribs form wide curved grooves between them. This is a self-cleaning system. When the tire rotates in wet soil, lumps of earth do not get stuck between the ribs, but are pushed out by centrifugal force and variable clearance. As a result, the tread remains clean, and the grip with the ground is stable.
Damage protection
The model uses a special compound enriched with high-molecular additives. Technical result:
- increased resistance to sidewall cuts;
- resistance to abrasion when driving on gravel roads and concrete slabs;
- elasticity at negative temperatures (off-season operation without cracking).
The result is an increase in the service life.
Elastic frame
Trailer tires often operate in a mode of short-term overloads (field irregularities, sharp braking). The internal frame of the tire is made of high-strength polyester cord with an optimized angle of inclination of the threads. This gives the tire elasticity without losing its shape.
