Armour PLT328
Description Armour PLT328
The Armour PLT328 cargo tire is distinguished by a rather specific scope of application, as it is designed for installation on any axis of forklifts. This model is characterized by significant contact patch sizes, high resistance to abrasive and uneven wear, and high carrying capacity.
Symmetrical non-directional tread pattern
Due to the fairly specific operating conditions, this model is equipped with a symmetrical non-directional tread pattern. It features a large number of transverse blocks of a composite structure. During movement, they form very long edges of adhesion, located almost at a right angle to the direction of movement. Thanks to this design, the tire demonstrates excellent traction and adhesion properties in the longitudinal direction.
Excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread
Among other beneficial features of this model, it is necessary to note the excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread. They were achieved due to the significant distance between the blocks in the shoulder areas of the tread.
Low rolling resistance
In contrast to the shoulder areas, the blocks in the central part of the tread are located at a very small distance from each other. This design feature allows reducing rolling resistance, which, in turn, has a very favorable effect on fuel efficiency.
Even distribution of external weight across the contact patch
As mentioned earlier, the tread pattern of this model contains a large number of composite transverse blocks. In addition to their arrangement, they are distinguished by massive sizes. In combination with the flat tread profile, this provides the tire with a very even distribution of external weight across the contact patch. This feature allows it to demonstrate stable adhesion, as well as high resistance to uneven wear and increased carrying capacity.
Main features of the Armour PLT328 tire
- the tire was developed specifically for forklifts;
- excellent traction and adhesion properties in the longitudinal direction, due to very long transverse edges formed by numerous double blocks;
- low rolling resistance with excellent self-cleaning properties of the tread, thanks to the intelligent arrangement of blocks.
