The Pirelli Scorpiom MX Extra X motorcycle tire is equally well-suited for both training and amateur motocross racing, demonstrating a nearly ideal balance of performance characteristics. At the same time, it is impossible not to note the almost complete similarity of the tread patterns of the front and rear tires, which, when used together, provide very confident handling on any type of surface.
Precise handling
Like any other Pirelli tire belonging to the Scorpion family, the Pirelli Scorpion MX Extra X model is distinguished by its sporty, precise handling. This is largely due to the central longitudinal rib, composed of multiple double blocks. Thanks to this, the front tire demonstrates excellent directional stability and responsiveness, while the rear tire - excellent traction and grip when accelerating in a straight line.
Multi-layered carcass construction
As a rule, operating a motocross motorcycle is associated with frequent jumps and other impact loads that occur when driving on rough terrain. To adapt the tire to these specific conditions, Italian tire manufacturers have significantly increased the layering of the carcass. As a result, it has become very elastic and strong, able to absorb a significant part of the impact energy when landing. In addition, it is impossible not to note the increased resistance to punctures and cuts.
Long service life and high reliability
Another feature of this model is the large size of the contact patch and the presence of a rubber compound containing soot. This combination, on the one hand, allowed improving the distribution of external weight on the contact patch, and on the other hand, increasing the durability of the tread on rupture, which together gave a significant increase in the service life of the tire.
