The Pirelli Diablo Superbike SC0 motorcycle tire is designed for sport and superbikes and is intended for use exclusively on racing tracks. It is one of several versions of this model, distinguished by its most elastic rubber compound.
This model is the official tire of the WSBK championship, which, as part of homologation requirements, is offered for open sale. It is characterized by exceptional grip at any motorcycle lean angle, largely due to the optimized profile of the tread pattern, which increases and maintains the size and shape of the contact patch. Compared to "civilian" models, the profile radius is increased by a quarter in the side projection, which adds not only grip but also stability due to better load distribution across the contact patch. The tread is made from a special rubber compound that is characterized by rapid heating to operating temperatures, high tear resistance, and high tensile strength.
