Mitas Flat Track — a specialized motorcycle tyre designed for flat track racing, where acceleration, cornering speed, and precise control directly affect performance. The tread pattern, profile, and casing construction are engineered specifically for oval track riding, including short tracks and cushion-type surfaces. For the rider, this means confident power delivery and more precise motorcycle control when entering and exiting corners.
The tread is optimized for medium and hard-packed dirt surfaces. Its pattern works in conjunction with the profile and casing to help the motorcycle effectively transfer power on short tracks. The rider gains more accurate control over acceleration and cornering through the oval's turns.
The directional tread pattern is designed to be reversible, allowing both edges of the tread to be used. This helps maximize tread life under racing conditions.
Multiple rubber compound options are available for different needs. The Soft compound is intended for typical racing applications, while the Super Soft offers enhanced grip and more predictable handling in cooler conditions, on asphalt tracks, and especially hard surfaces. The Street version is designed for road-going flat-track-style motorcycles. This selection allows riders to match the tyre's performance characteristics to track conditions and temperature.
It's important to consider the intended use of each version: racing variants Soft and Super Soft are marked NHS and are not intended for public road use. The Street version has no colored identification stripes and is homologated for road use.
