The motorcycle tyre Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ is designed for touring bikes in the Adventure category, whose owners spend most of their route off asphalt, but do not refuse long hauls on public roads. The model is calculated for a ratio of operation of about 80% off-road and 20% asphalt, combining high snow/off-road capability with stable behaviour on high-speed sections. In its development, the manufacturer used solutions tested on sports off-road tyres of the E-09 and E-13 series, essentially adapting them to the requirements of travel on heavy motorcycles.
Aggressive tread pattern for off-road
The key feature of the tyre is the tread pattern. It is a combination of large blocks with curved walls and wide grooves between the elements. This combination provides the tyre with the ability to effectively grip loose, unstable soil surfaces, while maintaining it due to high self-cleaning intensity from dirt, sand, and small stones. The optimized tread profile increases the size of the contact patch, which in such conditions significantly improves traction properties, preventing wheel spin and lateral slippage.
Reinforced construction for long routes
The tyre features a carcass with a construction similar to sports tyres of the E-09/E-13 series. The range includes a Dakar version, which differs in even greater carcass stiffness and a special rubber compound with increased resistance to tears, punctures, and cracking. Against its background, the standard version of the tyre is oriented towards more universal use, combining comfort, stability, and reliability.
Predictability on different surfaces
Despite its pronounced "off-road" specialization, the model confidently behaves on asphalt. The arrangement of blocks reduces vibrations and helps maintain directional stability when moving at high speed. The possibility of installation, both with a chamber and tubeless, expands compatibility with various wheels.
