The Mitac C-02 motorcycle tire is designed for motocross and sidecar motorcycles, where it is installed on the rear wheel. Another key feature of this model is its adaptability to operation on various hard surfaces. Variable curvature profile
Since a motocross tire requires good traction not only when driving straight but also when the motorcycle's angle of inclination changes significantly, its tread has a profile with variable curvature. In the central part, it has a small radius, and in the shoulder zones, it is maximum. Due to this, when driving straight, the tire has a very extensive contact patch, and when turning, it becomes smaller, while the external pressure on the ground becomes maximum due to the reduction of its area.
"Chess" arrangement of tread blocks
This model is equipped with a symmetric non-directional tread pattern, which is distinguished by an open design containing a large number of individual blocks. These elements, during movement, form a multitude of edges, due to which the tire grips the road surface. However, not only this advantage favorably distinguishes this tire from most competitors.
All blocks, which, by the way, are mostly quadrangular in shape, are arranged in a so-called "chess" order. This scheme of block placement has a number of important advantages. First of all, it is a more even distribution of external weight over the contact patch, which improves handling stability and resistance to uneven wear.
