The Michelin S83 summer motorcycle tire has a somewhat narrow scope of application. It was specifically designed for scooters made in a popular retro style and equipped with engines of no more than 150 cubic centimeters. At the same time, this model will not look like an alien element on them, thanks to a very authentic tread pattern, the appearance of which did not prevent the French tire manufacturers from applying the latest technological developments.

Stable handling in any conditions

Both the front and rear tires of this model are equipped with almost identical tread patterns, which in itself guarantees stable behavior in any conditions. But in addition to this, its design has many technical solutions that provide an increased level of safety. First of all, this is a semi-circular profile of the tread pattern, thanks to which the contact patch retains its original size regardless of the scooter's lean angle.

Another factor that provides stable handling is the tread pattern itself, which is divided into two equal parts by a central drainage groove. The scheme of arrangement of the tread elements of the Michelin S83 on both its sides is absolutely identical, up to the size and shape of the blocks located there.

Excellent directional stability

This model demonstrates excellent stability even at high speeds. This feature appeared in it due to the special structure of the central part of the tread pattern. It consists of two longitudinal rows composed of massive blocks of complex triangular shape. The combination of large sizes and special arrangement provides the tire with increased resistance to dynamic deformation, the effect of which grows in proportion to the increase in speed.
