Tire specifications
DescriptionDescription Michelin Pilot Street Radial
The Michelin Pilot Street motorcycle tire is designed for a rather specific technique - sportbikes with engines from 200 to 400 "cubes". It is more than a preferred option, as unlike most analogs, it has a much more advanced design using modern technologies and materials.
Ideal balance between grip and durability
One of the characteristic features of the tire is that it simultaneously demonstrates excellent grip in any conditions and durability. This is largely due to the design of the tread pattern. Both the front and rear tires have numerous drainage grooves of curved shape, located at a sharp angle to the direction of movement. This solution, on the one hand, provides excellent resistance to aquaplaning and grip on wet roads, and on the other hand, increased anti-wear properties. It is also worth noting the rubber compound, which includes special polymers. They additionally increase the resistance of the tread to abrasive wear.
Sporty handling
Some of the tire's technical solutions were borrowed from the French brand's models for sportbikes with large displacement engines. One of them is the aforementioned tread pattern, as well as the carcass design. It is made entirely of synthetic cord, wound using the most modern technologies. The carcass, in addition to its low weight, has high stiffness, which ensures high directional stability of the tire at high speeds and predictable behavior when maneuvering.

I've driven 25,000 km; KTM 390 engine;
For a light motorcycle, this is a great tire. The grip is enough for me (I ride in the gymkhana as an amateur), I almost never drive in the rain, so I can't say anything about wet roads. I was impressed with the resource; the factory tire (Metzeler) wore out to the cord after 11,000 km; with this one, after 25,000 km, the wear has only reached the "wear marks", i.e. you can still drive for another 2-3 thousand km... The mileage is mainly on the highway at speeds of 100-120. If you aggressively pass turns, the sidewall wears out quite quickly (after 10 training sessions at the gymkhana, I noticed quite significant wear...).
In general, the set of consumer properties fully satisfied me. I bought another one just in case.

I mounted the tire on the front wheel of my motorcycle. It's not a powerful bike, with a 250 cc engine. The tire performs its functions to 100%, grips the road well, even with maximum lean in corners. Brakes well, don't use the rear brake at all. Easily lifts the front wheel. Even after 1500 km, the technical wear has not worn off. I can definitely recommend this tire for use!
