Excellent combination of performance and durability
This model is characterized by an almost ideal balance. This is largely due to the carcass, the basis of which is a cord with intersecting layers. Thanks to this technology, the French tire manufacturers were able to optimize the elasticity of the tire in various parts. Its sidewalls and shoulder areas are soft, which provides an increased level of riding comfort, as well as additional grip when maneuvering. The central part of the Michelin Pilot Activ tread, on the other hand, is made more rigid, which significantly improves directional stability and resistance to uneven wear, thereby extending the life of the tire.
Excellent grip on dry and wet roads
Another undisputed advantage of this model is its excellent grip in any conditions. This is mainly due to the tread pattern and rubber compound.
The tread pattern for the front and rear tires is noticeably different, as the specific conditions of their operation must be taken into account. But in both cases, the French tire manufacturers preferred to use a V-shaped design with many massive blocks. This solution is dictated by the desire to provide maximum contact patch sizes, as well as traction and grip properties, both on dry and wet asphalt.
