Description Maxxis Maxxcross Dual SX
The Maxxcross Dual SX motorcycle tire is designed exclusively for motocross bikes, most of which are operated on medium and high hardness gravel surfaces with a reduced moisture content. Another feature of this model is the availability of two design options - for the front and rear wheels, as well as the recommendation of the Asian manufacturer to use them in pairs. This will allow achieving ideal balance in handling and traction.
Two rubber compound compositions
One of the key features of the rear tire tread is the use of two rubber compound compositions. The central part of the tread has increased elasticity, while its shoulder zones are made of a standard soft compound. This solution allowed giving the tire exceptional stability in all driving modes, as well as smoothness in reactions when braking and accelerating, when entering and exiting turns.
In turn, the front tire also has a tread made of two rubber compound compositions. But it has a greater stiffness in the central part, which on the one hand improves directional stability, and on the other hand, increases the traction properties of the Maxxis Maxxcross Dual SX when braking and cornering.
Two tread pattern options
Another reason to use two versions of this model at the same time is the design of their tread patterns. They are significantly different from each other. The rear tire tread pattern features a large number of massive blocks installed transversely and in a checkerboard pattern. This allows it to demonstrate very high and stable longitudinal traction properties.
As for the front tire, its tread pattern features a large number of small square blocks. During movement, they form a multitude of traction edges, thanks to which it demonstrates excellent directional stability and high braking efficiency even at significant tilt angles.
Key features of Maxxis Maxxcross Dual SX:
- the tire is designed for use on medium and high hardness gravel surfaces with a reduced moisture content;
- two design options (for front and rear wheels) in the case of their joint use allow achieving optimal handling;
- two rubber compound compositions, both for the front and rear wheels, provide the tire with exceptional efficiency in any conditions;
- a different tread pattern design for the front and rear tires provides excellent traction properties.
