Description Maxxis M6006
The Maxxis M6006 Dual Sport motorcycle tire fully lives up to its name, as it has excellent operating characteristics both on the highway and off-road. Indeed, this is reflected in the phrase Dual Sport. The versatility of application is ensured by a number of design features, both of the tread pattern and of what is directly under it.
Universal tread pattern
This model is equipped with a tread containing a large number of individual blocks. However, their shape and size vary significantly depending on which part of it they are located.
The central part of the Maxxis M6006 tread contains the most massive blocks of complex polygonal shape, arranged in a checkerboard pattern. This scheme provides the tire with a significant part of the universal properties it demonstrates. In particular, the blocks arranged in this way give the contact patch large dimensions, and their massiveness provides stability when moving at high speed. At the same time, the significant distance between them, as well as their height, allows the tire to demonstrate confident behavior outside of paved roads.
In contrast to the center of the tread, its shoulder zones contain many trapezoidal blocks of small size. These tread elements are designed to provide maximum stability when maneuvering on soft earth and sandy soils.
Reinforced frame
The frame used in this model is distinguished, on the one hand, by its low weight, and on the other hand, by its exceptional strength. The combination of such hard-to-combine properties is ensured by the use of a multi-layer structure made exclusively from synthetic materials. At the same time, all cords are made using the so-called "seamless" technology, which made the frame even more resistant to harsh operating conditions off-road.
Main features of the Maxxis M6006 tire
- universal scope of application, largely due to the tread pattern, equally highly effective both off-road and on the highway;
- excellent traction and adhesion properties on soft earth and sandy soils with high moisture content, thanks to the multitude of small trapezoidal blocks in the shoulder areas of the tread;
- the multi-layer structure of the frame provides exceptional reliability and resistance to external mechanical stress.
