The Heidenau K69 Trials motorcycle tire was specifically designed for motocross competitions, but it's also great for recreational riding, allowing you to enjoy off-road adventures. A distinctive feature of this model is its excellent stability on rocky terrain.
This model is offered by the German manufacturer in two versions - for the steering and driving axles, which differ from each other in width and tread pattern. This design solution allows for full consideration of the functional purpose of each of the two motorcycle wheels.
The tire for the steering axle is characterized by a narrow tread, which increases the pressure on the ground, and therefore the grip. Additionally, the front Heidenau K69 tire has a tread profile with a high camber, ensuring constant contact patch size regardless of the lean angle. In combination with a large number of small but very high blocks, this achieves not only excellent grip but also allows for precise trajectory planning.
The tire for the driving axle has a tread pattern designed to solve a different set of tasks, namely to efficiently convert torque into motion. To this end, the German tire manufacturers also equipped the tread with a large number of individual blocks. However, in this case, they are arranged to form multiple edges perpendicular to the direction of motion. This design solution made it possible to achieve high acceleration efficiency on loose and rocky surfaces.
Another feature of the driving axle tire's tread is its profile, which has a very small camber. Thanks to this, the German tire manufacturers were able to achieve a large contact patch area, which, on the one hand, provided higher grip properties, and on the other hand, ensured even weight distribution, improving traction and resistance to uneven wear.
