The tread pattern features a large number of individual blocks, executed in the form of a quadrangle. All blocks are grouped into five longitudinal ribs, including the shoulder areas of the tread. This structure provides a contact patch with a huge number of grip edges. In conjunction with the great tread depth, this gives excellent grip on rocky and unstable soils. At the same time, there is enough distance between the blocks so that the tread does not get clogged with soil particles. As a result, the tire demonstrates excellent cross-country capability on mud.
A few words should be said about the design of the shoulder areas of the Heidenau K67 tire tread. They, like the rest of the tread, consist of individual blocks, but at the same time, they are slightly larger in size, which made it possible to provide reliable protection for the tire sidewalls from aggressive external influences. In addition, the blocks of the shoulder areas perform the function of mud catchers, which allows for more confident overcoming of difficult sections.
Another distinctive feature of this model is its fairly high performance on the highway. This was achieved thanks to the presence of five longitudinal ribs in the tread and a soft rubber compound. The longitudinal ribs provide high directional stability, and the soft rubber compound significantly increases the comfort of movement. At the same time, due to the inclusion of special components in its composition, it was possible to provide the tread with excellent wear resistance.
