The Dunlop Trailmax D604 tire, designed for full-size enduro category motorcycles such as the BMW R100 GS/R1100 GS, Honda Transalp, and Suzuki DR 650, was no exception.
The tread pattern of this tire features a non-trivial design, which is due to the desire of tire engineers to provide high operational performance on various types of surfaces. In other words, the creators of this tire faced a practically unsolvable problem of ensuring the tire's decent behavior on asphalt in combination with decent off-road performance.

Additionally, due to the large distance between the blocks, it was possible to ensure the tire has excellent self-cleaning properties, which further improved its off-road performance. It is also worth noting that on the highway, this works to effectively drain water from the contact patch, which makes the tire demonstrate reliable and safe behavior on a rainy highway.
