The Dunlop ScootSmart motorcycle tire is designed for scooters, specifically the most powerful versions of this type of 2-wheeled vehicle. The model is calculated for use at high speeds, up to 210 km/h. It is offered in two versions - for the front and rear wheels.

Optimized compound

When developing this tire, solutions that have proven themselves well in models for sport bikes and touring motorcycles were used. One of such borrowings was the tread rubber compound. Its composition differs in increased silica content. This component increases the elasticity of the tread, its strength when stretched, which increases reliability when driving at high speeds.

Sporty tread pattern

The tire is equipped with a tread whose pattern largely repeats the design of the RoadSmart model for highway motorcycles. In fact, this is a "slick" with a small number of drainage grooves. But at the same time, their shape, size and location are selected in such a way as to most effectively prevent the occurrence of aquaplaning.

Increased contact patch

The tire tread is distinguished by a profile with a variable curvature. Moreover, this indicator is different for the tire for the front and rear wheels and is selected taking into account the features of their operation. In both versions, the maximum contact area is ensured, which practically does not change in a very wide range of scooter tilt angles. This gives the coupling properties excellent stability, especially when maneuvering.

Lightweight carcass

Another distinctive feature of the tire is its low weight. It is ensured by the use of only synthetic materials in the design of the carcass. They not only reduced the mass of the motorcycle but also, due to the use of progressive methods of cord winding, increased the directional stability of the tire, reduced the heating of the tread when driving at high speeds.
