Innovative Rubber Compound
The unique rubber compound contains many new components that have improved the tire's performance. Any high-speed tire must have excellent elasticity to improve traction and recovery characteristics. To achieve this, a high content of silica was used, which increased the elasticity of the tread. The model provides reliable traction with any road surface and reduces the time it takes for the tread to recover.
To increase the tire's wear resistance, Continental TKV 12 used silicon. This has increased the tread life. The new components also allowed for a reduction in rubber heating, which has a positive effect on the service life. The use of rubber with varying stiffness increased the contact patch at any motorcycle lean angle.
Optimized Tread Design
When creating the tread pattern, a computer modeling method was used, which made it possible to choose the most optimal one from a large number of options. The optimized tread pattern provides excellent handling and stability. To improve directional stability and handling clarity, the tire has a wide, continuous channel in the center. The unusually shaped grooves located on the sides of the tread quickly remove water from the contact area, minimizing the risk of aquaplaning. The extended shoulder area increases stability during any maneuver.
