The summer motorcycle tire Bridgestone G701 has an extremely narrow scope of application. Firstly, it is designed exclusively for motorcycles made in the so-called "American style", and secondly - for installation on the front wheels. According to the Japanese tire giant's plan, this tire should be used in conjunction with another representative of the Exedra line - the G702, which is designed for the rear wheel.
Long Service Life
Among the many advantages of this model, the longevity of the service life is particularly noteworthy. This indicator is at a very high level, which is confirmed by the long warranty provided by the Japanese manufacturer on the North American market.
This was achieved through the use of a number of proprietary developments by Bridgestone. Most of them provided a very even distribution of external weight across the contact patch, which significantly reduced the risk of developing uneven tread wear.
Some changes were made to the composition of the rubber mixture. Thanks to the addition of special components, it provided the Bridgestone Exedra G701 tread with excellent resistance to abrasive wear.
In addition, the use of a "monospiral" metal cord allowed to significantly reduce the level of heat generation of the tire. This also had a positive effect on its service life.
Stable Behavior at Any Speed
One of the main differences from the G702 model is the presence of an additional longitudinal groove in the central part of the tread. This tread element provides a solution to several important tasks. First of all, it prevents the occurrence of aquaplaning. In addition, passing straight through the center of the tread, this groove divides the contact patch into two equal parts, which significantly improves the stability of the traction properties at various driving modes, regardless of speed.
