The commercial tire Yokohama 121T is designed for use on trailers and semi-trailers used for long-haul and regional transportation. It is characterized by its resistance to damage, improved traction on wet and icy roads.
The tread pattern has four wide ribs, separated by deep channels. The walls of the latter have a stepped structure, which prevents stones and debris from penetrating to their bottom. Thus, protection against damage and improved self-cleaning performance are implemented. The special arrangement of block structures has a positive effect on reducing rolling resistance. As a result, the tire demonstrates fuel efficiency and low noise.
The presence of specially shaped recesses on the central blocks improves the grip properties on wet and icy surfaces, while maintaining steering accuracy.
The model is built on the basis of a reinforced carcass, which not only prevents deformation under load but also withstands point mechanical impacts. Thanks to this, the operational resource of the tire is increased by 10% compared to its analogs.
