Description Triangle TRD06 (шип)
Triangle TRD06 – a studded model designed as a specialized tool for operation on slippery and snow-covered surfaces. It features a revised classic block architecture with added mobility limiters and studs to achieve maximum traction without compromising stability and fuel efficiency.
Architecture specifics
The tread has a strict longitudinal-row structure. The individually standing elements are arranged in lines with a slight inclination, creating a directed traction vector. This design solves a dual task:
- each element works as an independent traction device, but their coordinated arrangement ensures a smooth increase in grip without jerks;
- the optimized pitch reduces tyre deformation during rolling, which directly affects fuel economy — especially important in the winter period, when fuel consumption is already increased.
Block control in turns
The main engineering innovation is the rigid bridges between blocks in the shoulder areas. In most open tread patterns, blocks move freely under load, leading to stepped wear and impaired handling during maneuvers. Here, their mobility is limited, making the shoulder area monolithic in the transverse direction. This provides a triple effect:
- stability during turns — lateral stiffness increases, reducing lean and making turn entry predictable;
- during sharp deceleration, blocks do not fold, but transmit force directly, reducing the braking distance on a slippery road.
- the rigid block connection prevents the appearance of scuffing and local wear.
Reinforced carcass and frost-resistant compound
Under the tread, a high-strength radial carcass is hidden, adapted to high dynamic loads of the driving axle. It withstands sudden torque changes and protects the tyre from ruptures during wheel spin. The rubber compound contains special polymers that maintain elasticity at low temperatures. At the same time, the compound is resistant to abrasive wear, which is especially relevant on roads treated with reagents and sand.
Key features of Triangle TRD06 (studded):
- optimized for torque transmission on slippery and snow-covered surfaces, where maximum traction realization is required;
- the open block tread pattern provides reliable grip on snow and ice, while reducing rolling resistance;
- numerous Z-shaped and straight lamellas in combination with studs create thousands of additional edges, enhancing longitudinal grip during acceleration and braking in complex weather conditions;
- rigid "bridges" in the shoulder areas limit block mobility, improving stability during maneuvers and braking, as well as preventing uneven stepped wear.
