Description Transtone TT768
Modern commercial equipment is increasingly operating in conditions of severe deadlines, where the route can pass both on asphalt and on broken dirt roads. Standard "highway" tires are not suitable for such tasks - they need support. The Transtone TT768 model is a tire for the driving axle, which equally effectively resists wear on hard surfaces and confidently provides traction on low-bearing soils.
Traction Engineering
The main feature of the tread lies in the unique topology of the arrangement of lugs. A scheme is applied here, in which massive blocks are offset from each other with a certain "step". This gives a double effect. Firstly, the blocks form continuous transverse edges. Visually, they line up in an almost continuous line of engagement. This creates a caterpillar effect: when moving on sand or gravel, the tire literally bites into the surface, providing excellent traction and braking effort. Skidding is minimized. Secondly, the step-by-step arrangement of elements optimizes the distribution of stresses in the contact patch. This dampens vibrations and slipping, which directly affects the reduction of rolling resistance and prevents uneven wear. It's also worth noting the high degree of self-cleaning, which is implemented due to the direction of drainage channels and the open structure of the shoulder area.
Thermodynamics and Composition
The driven axle is an area of constant deformation and, as a consequence, heating. Overheating is the main enemy of mileage. Therefore, the profile of the tread was optimized. The radius of curvature of the tread was changed to achieve the maximum possible contact patch while maintaining stability at high speeds. The extended contact area reduces the pressure on each square centimeter of rubber, slowing down abrasive wear. In addition, components with increased thermal conductivity were introduced into the rubber mixture. This allows the tire to effectively dissipate heat from the carcass and tread area to the outside. Less heating - less energy loss on internal friction.
Key Features of Transtone TT768:
- installation on the driving axles of a wide range of cargo equipment;
- open design provides self-cleaning of the tread from dirt and reliable traction on unstable soils, excluding "clogging" of blocks;
- the design of the carcass and the optimized recipe of the mixture create a barrier for sharp inclusions of soil and small stones;
- reduced rolling resistance, achieved through the geometry of the "step" and thermally optimized rubber.
