The Sailun S702 summer tire is designed for commercial vehicles with medium and high payload, where it is installed on the driving axle. Improved longitudinal traction properties
The tire is equipped with a tread featuring a sufficiently open design. It is formed by numerous blocks that create six continuous longitudinal ribs during movement. This solution improves traction properties during longitudinal acceleration on the one hand, and their stability, especially on slippery road surfaces, on the other.
Multifunctional lamellae
In each tread block, there are narrow S-shaped slots. These elements perform several functions at once. The most obvious of them is the formation of additional traction edges, which improves the tread's performance on wet roads. At the same time, the shape of these slots allows the blocks to fit more closely around irregularities, reducing the level of mechanical stress from them. As a result, the tread's resistance to wear is increased, and, consequently, the tire's service life is extended.
Reinforcing ribs between blocks
On the bottom of the drainage grooves, there are special protrusions. They connect the blocks in a longitudinal row to each other, limiting their mutual mobility. This solution increases the tread's resistance to wear, especially under the influence of lateral acceleration forces.
