Commercial tire Royal Black DL011 is not just a tire for the drive axle, but the result of precise calculations aimed at minimizing the total cost of transportation. Designed to work on high-quality road surfaces on regional and highway routes, it offers a balanced package of properties: traction, economy, and durability.
Lamellen and Wear Control
The entire working surface of the tread is saturated with a network of numerous lamellae. In combination with an elastic rubber compound of a special composition, they form an adaptive traction system. When contacting a wet surface, the lamellae open, creating thousands of microscopic edges for guaranteed traction and safe braking. On dry asphalt, the lamellae "close", preserving the integrity of the block and minimizing deformation of the tread, which directly optimizes rolling resistance and fuel consumption.
The blocks in the most loaded shoulder areas are not independent. They are connected to each other by special transverse reinforcing ribs, forming a single rigid structure. This prevents their independent movement, "folding" and formation of wave-like wear, which is the main reason for premature tire failure.
Structural Basis
The radial carcass made of high-strength steel cord and steel belt layers forms the bearing "skeleton" of the tire. This provides:
- maximum load capacity and structural integrity under high axial loads;
- minimum radial runout and deformation, which directly improves directional stability at high speed and reduces rolling resistance;
- high resistance to mechanical damage and overheating.
The large initial tread depth in combination with the possibility of its professional restoration by cutting allows multiple extensions of the model's life cycle.
Key Features of Royal Black DL011:
- applicability on heavy commercial vehicles used in urban and highway transportation;
- high lamella density in combination with an elastic specialized compound provides reliable traction;
- reinforcing ribs connecting blocks in the shoulder area drastically reduce the risk of uneven wear;
- the use of steel cord in all power layers guarantees the highest load capacity, directional stability at speed, durability, and resistance to damage.
