The summer cargo tire Nokian NTR68 is designed for installation on the driving axles of trucks. This model was specially created for operation on poor-quality roads, as well as outside of them. In addition, thanks to its universal tread pattern, it is perfect for use during the summer period.

Universal tread pattern

The Nokian NTR68 tire owes its amazing versatility to its symmetrical non-directional tread pattern, which features an original S-shaped design. It contains five longitudinal rows of massive blocks. The numerous edges formed by them provide the tire with excellent efficiency on low-grip surfaces, as well as on loose and unstable soils.

The massive size of the blocks allowed them to be made very rigid, which ensures that the tire provides a high level of safety when driving at high speeds on asphalt roads. At the same time, the five longitudinal ribs formed by the rows of blocks made it possible to achieve excellent directional stability.

Excellent passability

Unlike standard tires for the driving axle, this model is equipped with a large number of blocks, and the large distance between them allows the tread to not become clogged with large and small particles of soil. Due to this, it was possible to significantly improve the passability on sand, mud, and snow. Another reason for the excellent passability was the tread pattern, in which all elements provide the same traction characteristics in both directions of movement.

Low heat generation

Despite the block structure of the tread, the Finnish tire manufacturers were able to provide a low level of heat generation during movement. This was achieved thanks to not only the open tread pattern but also the special composition of the rubber mixture, which has a low degree of heat generation, making it possible to significantly extend the life of the tire.
