The Michelin X WORKS HD D commercial tire is installed on high-capacity trucks. It is adapted for operation in regional transportation, construction, and mining industries. It is distinguished by high reliability and confident traction on all types of road surfaces.
The high reliability of this model is largely due to the strengthening of almost all internal components. The lower layer of the tread is increased, and the breaker located directly under it, due to the greater thickness of the cord, has excellent strength and resistance to damage. The sidewalls have a similar design. The bead area has a multi-layer structure, and a filler with increased stiffness is used inside the bead ring.
The tread pattern is made in a directional design with a symmetrical arrangement of elements. In the central part, they are reduced in size and arranged with an offset relative to each other, forming two closely adjacent rows. This design reduces rolling resistance, increases directional stability, and also contributes to a more even distribution of tire pressure on the road surface, reducing wear. The shoulder areas contain wide blocks with long and curved transverse edges. They provide high traction and braking efficiency, especially on dirt and slippery surfaces.
