The Michelin X Multi Energy Z commercial tire is installed on the steering axle of highway tractors. It is positioned by the French manufacturer as a universal model, suitable for use in cargo transportation of any type. It is favorably distinguished by its excellent fuel efficiency and mileage for its category. In motion, it is characterized by precision handling and course stability at high speeds.
The tread of the tire is made from an advanced compound currently available. The composition includes a complex of polymeric substances that significantly increase resistance to abrasive wear, as well as the thermal conductivity of the rubber mixture, increasing mileage and fuel efficiency.
The tread pattern has the ability to self-recover. This is ensured by hidden lamellas that appear as the tread wears out. As part of the Regenion technology, during the manufacturing process, molds obtained using 3D printing are used. This made it possible to create grooves inside the tread. As a result, the tire retains its traction properties throughout its service life.
The all-steel carcass is made from PowerCoil metal cord. The lightweight and very durable braided steel wire in a rubber sheath, about 400 meters long, provides the entire structure with a low weight and exceptional resistance to deformation and mechanical damage.
