The Michelin X Incity EV Z commercial tire is designed for high-capacity buses. It is intended for prolonged and intensive use on urban roads and regional highways. It is characterized by excellent traction regardless of weather and road conditions, resistance to damage and wear, and fuel efficiency.
The tread pattern features a large number of lamellas. Narrow slits are distinguished not only by the "three-dimensionality" of their vertical walls but also by the use of Regenion technology in their cutting. Such lamellas, as the tread wears out, increase the length of the edges, thereby maintaining traction properties even at significant mileage of the tire.
The tire's sidewalls have an increased thickness and are made of a special compound. This provides reliable protection against damage when coming into contact with curbs. In turn, the tread is produced from a rubber mixture that is not only more resistant to wear but also thermally conductive. This significantly reduces the heating of the tire when driving at high speeds, thereby reducing rolling resistance and fuel consumption. Additionally, the tire's mileage and reliability are ensured by the increased thickness of the tread. After the tread pattern has worn out, it can be restored by re-cutting.
