The Marcher SKS model is not just a tire, but an engineering compromise between stability in the quarry and comfort on hard surfaces.
Special features of the tread structure
Instead of an aggressive diagonal cut, a wear-resistant block tread is used here. The classic mud pattern on rocky terrain quickly wears off at the edges. Therefore, independent rubber blocks of rectangular shape were used here, which work as shock-absorbing elements. They dampen the blows from stones and evenly distribute the contact pressure. The technical result:
- reduction of tread chipping and tearing when contacting sharp objects;
- constant contact patch on uneven surfaces.
Work without compromise
The tire has received the NHS index - official confirmation that it is designed for off-road special equipment. But unlike many analogues, the model has a reinforced sidewall and tread. When working on rocky terrain, construction sites, and when loading abrasive materials, the main danger is sidewall cuts and punctures. Additional layers of cord and rubber with increased resistance to abrasion were laid in the frame.
Handling and comfort
Thanks to the well-thought-out tread kinematics, the tire demonstrates good handling and smoothness when moving on roads and loading platforms. The operator does not get tired of vibration, and the equipment remains obedient even during sharp maneuvers with a full bucket.
Also, a special rubber compound with increased resistance to abrasion was used here. This means that the tire stably works on loading operations, where it contacts both asphalt and crushed stone and metal shavings.
