Description Long March LM508
The Long March LM508 truck tire was specifically designed for trucks used in building construction. This model is designed to be installed exclusively on the steering axle. The size range includes five types for wheels with a rim diameter of 17.5 and 19.5 inches, which provided excellent applicability for this tire.
Highly Efficient Tread Pattern
Since the Long March LM508 tire is designed for operation mainly on construction sites, its tread pattern is equipped with a large number of individual blocks, which are distinguished not only by their massive size but also by their impressive height. Additionally, the complex polygonal shape of these blocks cannot be ignored, which allowed not only to saturate the contact patch with numerous traction edges to the limit but also to provide their multidirectional arrangement. As a result, the tire demonstrates very high braking efficiency, especially on unstable loose soils.
Long Service Life
A distinctive feature of this Chinese tire is a very long service life, ensured by two technical solutions. First of all, these are the massive sizes of the tread blocks, thanks to which it was possible not only to maximize the size of the contact patch but also to provide a more even distribution of the external load on it. As a result, the likelihood of uneven wear development was significantly reduced, which, in turn, led to a significant increase in the tire's service life.
The second factor in the excellent mileage of this tire is the rubber compound. Thanks to special additives, Chinese tire manufacturers were able to provide the tread with excellent resistance to abrasive wear.
Main Features of the Long March LM508 Tire
- a symmetrical non-directional pattern with an S-shaped design provides excellent performance on sandy, muddy, and rocky surfaces, thanks to the massive size and great height of the tread blocks;
- high braking efficiency, especially on loose soils, due to the numerous traction edges of the tread blocks;
- even distribution of external pressure over the contact patch improves passability, reducing the likelihood of uneven wear;
- special additives in the rubber compound provided the tread with excellent resistance to abrasive wear.
