One of the characteristic features of the LingLong F805 cargo tire is its wide, albeit highly specific, scope of application. This model is equally well suited for operation on both the steering and trailer axles of modern cargo trucks used in intercity and interregional transportation. Despite the increased number of transverse edges that improve traction on wet roads, this model is distinguished by very low operating costs. These are ensured by fuel efficiency, long service life, and high reliability.
Original V-shaped tread pattern
Unlike most tires of similar purpose, this model is equipped with a symmetrical directional tread pattern with a V-shaped design. It is formed by numerous straight lamellas that converge in the central part, where they form a series of arrow-shaped blocks. Such a structure of the tread pattern provides the tire with a number of very important qualities during operation. One of them is excellent directional stability when moving at any speed, as well as fast and extremely accurate reactions to the driver's actions, if the tire is installed on the steering axle. This significantly simplifies and facilitates the process of controlling a heavy cargo truck.
In addition, it is impossible not to note the low rolling resistance, which is ensured by the arrangement of the lamellas at a significant angle relative to the direction of movement. Another advantage of this design is the uniform distribution of external pressure over the contact patch, achieved due to the almost equal size of all five longitudinal ribs.
Short braking distance
The main functional purpose of the numerous lamellas is to form a multitude of additional traction edges. Since these tread elements are located on the tread predominantly transversely, the tire demonstrates excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction, which, when installed on the steering and trailer axles, is expressed in the form of a shortened braking distance.
Main features of the LingLong F805 tire
- wide scope of application due to the possibility of installation on the steering and trailer axles of cargo trucks;
- original V-shaped symmetrical directional tread pattern provides excellent traction in any road conditions;
- increased number of transverse traction edges reduces the braking distance, especially on wet roads;
- excellent resistance to aquaplaning is ensured by numerous transverse and longitudinal drainage grooves.
