Lanvigator SL102 — a result of meticulous balance between drainage efficiency, manageability, and energy saving. The model was designed for axles that experience enormous stress on tearing and lateral shear, i.e., for trailer systems of mainline tractors.
Savings start with the rubber
Here, the number of block structures in the pattern was deliberately minimized, preserving aggressive traction edges. Due to this, optimal rolling resistance was achieved. A smoother profile in the longitudinal plane reduces losses due to internal shear, which means the truck spends less energy on deforming the contact patch.
Reliable protection
Engineers applied unidirectional grooves with polished wall and bottom geometry. The absence of micro-roughness in them guarantees that water or liquid mud is instantly evacuated from the contact zone. This provides predictable traction on a wet highway and sharp braking.
Ribbed structure
Longitudinal ribs in the central zone and optimized stiffness of the shoulder zones are responsible for the sensitivity of the steering wheel and the absence of "snake" movement of the trailer. The trailer effectively resists rutting.
Under the tread, a multilayer cord made of high-strength steel is hidden. In combination with a thermoactive compound, this provides:
- resistance to thermal aging during long runs;
- uniform wear over the entire working area;
- absence of "blisters" and delamination even when overloaded.
The tire confidently maintains its working characteristics up to 85-90% of tread wear.
Main features of Lanvigator SL102:
- installation on trailer axles of commercial vehicles;
- active stone and mud removal;
- reduced rolling resistance due to optimization of the block structure;
- longitudinal ribs and reinforced shoulder blocks prevent "snaking" at high speeds;
- multilayer steel cord and wear-resistant compound provide several seasons of active operation.
