Description Kormoran Roads 2D
The Kormoran Roads 2D truck tire is one of the novelties from the well-known Polish brand. Like its predecessor, it was developed using Michelin technologies, which explains its very high operational properties.
High traction properties
Since this tire was created with the specifics of operation on the driving axles of trucks in mind, it is not surprising that during its development, special attention was paid to ensuring maximum traction properties. This was achieved through a non-standard solution - a V-shaped directional tread pattern with an open design. Thanks to this, the developers were able to improve several important characteristics, including, of course, longitudinal traction properties. The large number of small blocks provides a contact patch with numerous traction edges, which has a positive effect on the tire's performance during acceleration and deceleration.
Increased strength and reliability
The design of this tire is based on a very robust carcass made entirely of steel cord. In combination with a nearly flat tread profile, this allowed not only to increase the tire's carrying capacity but also to increase the size of the contact patch, giving it a square shape. This, in turn, led to the optimization of pressure distribution across it, and thus to an increase in wear resistance.
Key features of Kormoran Roads 2D
- an original V-shaped tread with an open design gives the tire excellent longitudinal traction properties;
- high reliability and strength thanks to the all-steel carcass;
- good traction properties on wet roads due to the high density of longitudinal and transverse drainage grooves in the tread.
