When developing the Hunterroad H805 model, the manufacturer set out to create not just a "strong tyre", but a balanced system. This is a solution for highway transportation. Here, the engineering focus is shifted to the driving axle - the node that experiences the maximum torque loads and requires uncompromising stability of the contact patch.
Power frame architecture
The basis of durability is a multi-layer breaker belt made according to an enhanced scheme. In the model, the number of cord layers in the sidewall was revised to neutralize the effect of microdeformations that occur when pressure changes. The stiffness of the frame is calculated so that when passing over irregularities, the impact energy is dissipated throughout the structure, rather than being concentrated in a specific point. This is a direct prevention of radial breaks and "bulges".
Thermal stability as a priority
In the conditions of a summer highway, the main enemy is overheating. The compound has been modified with an increased content of technical carbon and high-viscosity polymers. This is reflected in the abrasion resistance. Also, the mixture more quickly removes heat from the internal layers of the tread, not allowing the rubber to "flow" during prolonged movement at speeds over 80 km/h. This guarantees the preservation of the original geometry and low rolling resistance.
Tread geometry
The three-rib design is a classic, but it has been strengthened with the help of lamellas on numerous blocks. Here, it is important to understand the mechanics: when braking, the blocks deform, and these notches work as additional gripping edges. They cut into the water film, reducing the braking distance on a wet surface.

- optimized block pitch reduces vibrations and provides a smooth ride, while peak loads on the gripping edges are enhanced for a confident start with a full load;
- reduced rolling resistance coefficient contributes to real savings;
- the multi-layer structure allows for repeated restoration of the tread (cutting), which increases the total mileage;
a special layer under the tread prevents the penetration of sharp objects into the chamber, minimizing the risk of emergency stops.
