The summer cargo tire Headway HD686 is distinguished by a wide range of applications, thanks to the fact that it can be installed on any axles, both of large-capacity trucks and buses. Symmetrical non-directional tread pattern
When developing the Headway HD686 model, Chinese tire manufacturers took into account the experience of world leaders in this field. It was largely for this reason that it was equipped with a tread with a symmetrical non-directional arrangement of elements, grouped into 6 longitudinal ribs, 4 of which are located in the central part, and 2 are shoulder zones.
High directional stability and low fuel consumption
Each of the 6 longitudinal ribs that make up the tread pattern is a solid element without any breaks throughout its length. Due to this, it has high resistance to dynamic deformation. This feature has provided the tire with excellent directional stability, as well as reduced rolling resistance, which directly affects fuel consumption.
Increased load capacity and resistance to uneven wear
Another advantage of the rigid design of the tread ribs is the ability to evenly distribute external pressure over the contact patch. Thanks to this, the tire perfectly handles a large weight of transported cargo, while stably resisting the occurrence of uneven wear. The latter ability significantly extends the life of the tread, and therefore the entire tire as a whole.

Thanks to the presence of 6 longitudinal ribs, Chinese specialists were able to equip the tread with a high-performance drainage system. It consists of 5 longitudinal grooves that separate the longitudinal ribs from each other. Their total volume allows them to easily cope with the removal of almost any amount of water from the contact patch. As a result, excellent resistance to aquaplaning is provided.
