The Hankook AH35 tire is used on the steering axle of trucks used for transporting over short and medium distances. The South Korean manufacturer also allows the use of this model on the driving axle. It is characterized by high mileage and good traction properties on slippery surfaces. The tire marking contains the abbreviation M+S, which means the possibility of use, including in winter.
Tread pattern
To a large extent, the versatility of the tire is ensured by its tread. It is distinguished by an increased width, thanks to which the pressure in the contact patch is distributed optimally, which, in turn, reduces wear and increases the service life. The tread also contains four drainage grooves, two of which are straight and two are wavy. This combination provides higher resistance to aquaplaning and improved traction on wet surfaces, as well as directional stability at high speeds.
The tread ribs contain numerous 3D lamellae. These elements form a multitude of traction edges, and due to their "three-dimensionality", they increase the stiffness of the longitudinal ribs, which improves handling and reduces fuel consumption. In addition to the lamellae, the tread contains special "micro-grooves". These elements optimize the distribution of load across the contact patch, reducing wear.
Carcass
When developing the tire, the South Korean tire makers paid much attention to the design of the carcass. It is distinguished by increased stiffness, which provides the tire with excellent handling, carrying capacity, and also reduces wear. These properties are further enhanced by the optimized design of the breaker. It is characterized by extremely low mobility.
