The special design of the Marathon LHD II tread (which is wider than usual), the directional pattern, the increased ribs in the shoulder area – improve mileage, facilitate starting and braking. It is also important that due to the correct distribution of pressure, the contact patch is optimized, which in turn balances the degree of wear.
In the process of lamellization of this tire, the "3D-BIS" technology is involved, which makes the grip much more confident. The same goal is pursued by the rubber compound, in which the silica content is increased. Goodyear Marathon LHD II with an unusual frame geometry allows the tires to be restored and additionally protects them from mechanical damage (impacts, cracks, scratches, cuts). The zigzag, deep tread pattern and the "chess" arrangement of the blocks provide optimal traction, even on wet asphalt. According to the tests carried out, the mileage of this product has been increased by ten percent. The new generation of tires does not harm the environment.
