Description Goodride CR966
The Goodride CR966 cargo tire is one of the novelties of the well-known manufacturer from China. This time it is designed for the steering axle of trucks operating on high-speed highways. The specific usage conditions necessitate this model having low rolling resistance, excellent traction in any weather conditions, and a very long service life.
5-rib tread pattern
The externally symmetrical non-directional tread pattern of this model is no different from the tire products of similar purpose from leading global brands. Its design is based on five longitudinal ribs separated from each other by wide drainage grooves. At the same time, the central part contains three separate tread elements, and the shoulder zones contain one rib each. This structure, combined with the massive sizes of the longitudinal ribs, gives the tire excellent directional stability with very low rolling resistance.
Multiple traction edges in the central part
A distinctive feature of the three longitudinal ribs of the Goodride CR966, located in the central part of the tread pattern, is the presence of a large number of traction edges. They are formed due to the exposure during movement of numerous lamellas. At the same time, they are located almost transversely to the direction of movement, which allows the tire to demonstrate high efficiency during braking, especially on wet roads.
Excellent resistance to aquaplaning
As mentioned earlier, all tread ribs are separated from each other by wide drainage grooves that are located longitudinally relative to the direction of movement. Their volume is more than enough to handle the removal from the contact patch of almost any amount of water. This allows the tire to demonstrate excellent resistance to aquaplaning even at high speeds.
Main features of the Goodride CR966 tire
- the tire is designed for operation on the steering axle of a truck;
- five very wide longitudinal ribs improve directional stability, increase the contact patch area, and reduce rolling resistance;
- excellent braking efficiency due to numerous lamellas in the central part of the tread;
- reinforced shoulder zones increase load capacity and resistance to uneven wear, expand the contact patch size, giving it a rectangular shape.
