Description Giti GT679
The main features of the GT Radial GT679D truck tire are its ability to be used year-round, as evidenced by the M+S marking on the sidewall, as well as its scope of application – the steering axle of highway tractors. Among other differences of this model, it is necessary to note the increased traction and coupling properties in the longitudinal direction on slippery roads from rain or snow, as well as low rolling resistance.
Extended service life
The GT Radial GT679D model is favorably distinguished by very long service life. Mainly, they are ensured due to the increased tread depth and a rubber compound resistant to abrasive and uneven wear. It is also worth noting the possibility of restoring the tread pattern, which significantly increases the service life of the tire.
Original shoulder area design
Unlike most tires of this type, the shoulder areas of the tread of this tire contain a rather curious design. It is characterized by a composite structure consisting of two rows of separate blocks of square and rectangular shape, which are separated from each other by numerous longitudinal and transverse drainage grooves. It is their presence in this part of the tread that allows the contact patch to quickly get rid of even the largest amount of water, thereby ensuring increased resistance to aquaplaning.
Another feature of the shoulder area structure is the flat profile shape. With its help, it was possible to significantly increase the area of the support surface, giving it a rectangular shape at the same time. Thanks to this, the tire demonstrates not only stable and reliable coupling, but also an even distribution of external weight over the contact patch, which, in turn, led to an increase in carrying capacity and resistance to uneven wear.
