Avalanche of traction edges

The tread pattern is based on a directional design that has been perfected through computer modeling. A dense network of lamellas and a tight arrangement of blocks create numerous traction edges that work like an anti-skid chain. The angle of the groove inclination is calculated to efficiently drain moisture when in contact with wet asphalt. Additionally, a modern studding system is applied here, allowing for effective overcoming of icy sections. At the same time, the stud structure is implemented in such a way as to minimize the noise effect.

Balance of geometry

The tight arrangement of elements reduces the deformation of each block individually, which minimizes hysteresis losses. As a result, fuel consumption is reduced by 4-6% compared to tyres of the previous generation, and the even distribution of pressure across the contact patch slows down abrasive wear, ensuring a stable tread shape.

Elasticity as a weapon against ice

Here, the rubber compound recipe has been modified by introducing elastomers and special plasticizers with a low-temperature glass transition threshold. This has made it possible to maintain molecular mobility even at -30°C. Such rubber does not become brittle, which means it guarantees preservation of handling in any winter conditions.

Point grip for extreme ice

We would like to emphasize that the tyre is supplied in a studded version. The integration of studs is a designed system: the stud sockets have reinforced bottom reinforcement, excluding their loss under high loads. Sharp hard-alloy cores protrude from the tread at a strictly calculated height, providing point contact with the ice crust. This gives the driver confidence during emergency braking and maneuvering.
