The commercial tyre DRC D871 is an On/Off category model, designed for use in regional transportation, including roads with solid gravel surfaces. It is recommended for use on the drive axle of vehicles, where a combination of high traction force on loose unstable surfaces, resistance to mechanical damage, and a long service life are required.

Design for heavy loads

The model features a reinforced all-steel carcass, the design of which is largely borrowed from "quarry" tyres. Not only the number of layers in the cord, but also the cross-sectional area of the steel wires has been increased. This design maintains stiffness even when the vehicle is fully loaded, preventing tyre damage from strong impacts, reducing the risk of punctures, cuts, and crack formation. This solution significantly increases the tyre's load-carrying capacity.

"Block" tread pattern for efficient traction force transmission

The tread pattern is formed from individual blocks. In the central part, these blocks form a wide solid longitudinal rib, which reduces heat generation and rolling resistance when driving at high speeds. The shoulder areas have an open design, where the blocks are separated from each other by voids and have elongated zigzag-shaped walls. This allows the tyre to effectively transmit traction force, intensely drain water on asphalt, and self-clean from soil particles and stones off the road.

Reliability in everyday use

In addition to the carcass from "quarry" tyres, the compound adapted to mixed use conditions was also taken. In addition to increased resistance to wear, punctures, cuts, and cracking, it is distinguished by its ability to effectively dissipate heat, maintaining the functionality of the tread when driving at high speeds and loads for an extended period, increasing the tyre's mileage.
