The tread pattern of the Doublestar HR168 model is distinguished by a minimized number of individual elements. It contains only four longitudinal ribs, two of which are shoulder zones. This design provides the tire with very low rolling resistance, which ensures very high fuel efficiency. In addition, the four very massive and rigid longitudinal ribs allow the tire to demonstrate good directional stability, and when installed on the steering axle, excellent handling.

Excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction

Despite the small number of individual tread elements, the tire's contact patch has a sufficient number of traction edges at any given time. They are formed by the zigzag shape of the longitudinal ribs in the central part of the tread, as well as by the numerous notches in the shoulder zones. All this together provides the tire with excellent traction properties in the longitudinal direction.
